Edward Hoyle

Edward Hoyle is a Partner and Senior Researcher at Man AHL. 

Edward joined Man AHL in 2017, initially focused on the development of risk parity and alternative risk premia strategies, and portfolio construction for Man AHL Institutional Solutions. He went on to lead teams as Head of Macro and Head of Total-Return Strategies, before rotating back into a research-focused role in 2025. Prior to joining Man AHL, Edward spent more than seven years in the research team at Fulcrum Asset Management, managing quant macro, systematic commodity and alternative risk premia strategies. Early in his career, he spent two years as an actuarial analyst at Allianz Insurance.

Edward received an MSci in Mathematics (first class honours) from University College London, and a PhD in Mathematics from Imperial College London, where he was a member of the Mathematical Finance group.
