President, Man Group

Steven Desmyter is President at Man Group, a member of the Man Group Executive Committee, and Chair of the Man Group Charitable Trust. As President, Steven oversees Solutions, our dedicated client research and customised asset allocation and portfolio construction service. He also leads Man Group’s approach to responsible investment and research, and manages the global sales and marketing distribution strategy.

Steven was previously Global Head of Sales & Marketing and prior to this, responsible for Man Group’s institutional and retail client relationships. Before joining Man Group in 2002, Steven was at Goldman Sachs, covering institutional clients in the European Equities Division.

As leader of Man Group’s sustainability and responsible investing efforts, Steven is a member of the Man Group ESG Leadership team and serves on the SASB (Sustainable Accounting Standards Board) Investor Advisory Group and the SBAI (Standards Board for Alternative Investments) Investor Advisory Group.

Steven holds Master’s degrees in Economics and Finance from the University of Ghent and the University of Kiel. He also holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi.

Director of Specialist Strategies, Man AHL

Giuliana Bordigoni is Director of Specialist Strategies and a member of Man AHL’s management and investment committees.

She has held several positions since joining Man AHL in 2007, including Head of Alternative Markets and Director of Fixed Income, where she has made significant contributions to Man AHL’s managed futures and Evolution portfolios.

Giuliana holds a PhD in Mathematics and Applications from Politecnico of Milan and a Master of Advanced studies in Finance from ETH and University of Zurich.

Portfolio Manager, Asian and Emerging Market Debt, Man Group

Kaushik Rambhiya is a Portfolio Manager at Man Group. He has responsibility for running long/short credit strategies focused on Asian and emerging market debt.

Kaushik joined Man Group in 2019 from Aventicum Capital Management, where he was chair of the investment committee and lead portfolio manager. Before that, he spent six years at BlueBay Asset Management as an analyst in the emerging markets corporate team.

Kaushik holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Boston College and an MBA from Bombay University.

Head of Multi-Strategy Credit, Solutions, Man Group

Danilo Rippa is Head of Multi-Strategy Credit within Solutions at Man Group. He is also manager of the firm’s long-only convertibles strategy.

Prior to joining Man Group in 2007, Danilo worked for seven years at JPMorgan where he was a Vice President within the convertible bond structuring team. Before that, Danilo worked in the cash equity capital markets division focusing on the origination and execution of IPO, rights issues, accelerated book buildings and block trades.

Danilo graduated in Business Administration in 1999 from L.U.I.S.S University in Rome with 110/110 cum laude.

Director of Fast Trading Strategies, Man AHL

Emidio Sciulli is Director of Fast Trading Strategies and a member of Man AHL’s management and investment committees.

Emidio oversees research, development and portfolio management of AHL’s fast alpha strategies, liquidity making and taking strategies across all asset classes and is responsible for wider trade optimization across all AHL trading flow. He created the Fast Trading unit at Man AHL in 2013 and has been developing it since.

Previously, he held several other positions, including serving as Head of FX and Deputy Head of Commodities, where he led the development of macro, fundamental and technical signals across Currencies and Commodities. He joined Man AHL in 2008 as researcher in the quant macro area.

Emidio holds a BSc in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and an MSc in Financial Economics from Oxford University.

Head of Global High Yield & Credit Opportunities, Discretionary, Man Group

Mike Scott is Head of Global High Yield & Credit Opportunities within Discretionary at Man Group. In his role, Mike manages a suite of high yield strategies ranging from daily dealing to less liquid absolute and total return strategies. He focuses across performing, stressed and distressed opportunities.

Mike joined Man Group in December 2018 from Schroders, where he worked as a fund manager covering UK and European credit. He began his career at Cazenove Capital Management in 2005 as an industrials credit analyst covering investment grade and high yield.

Mike graduated from Oxford University and is a CFA charterholder.
