Ori Ben-Akiva
Director of Core and Total Return, Systematic, Man Group
Ori Ben-Akiva is Director of Core and Total Return within Systematic at Man Group (Man Numeric). Ori leads portfolio management for benchmark-relative and total return products, including long-only and active extension equity and fixed income, China, risk parity and tax-aware strategies. Ori also serves on the firm’s Systematic Micro Investment Committee and Management Committee, and participates in the Macro Investment Committee.
Previously, Ori was Director of Portfolio Management at Man Numeric, where he oversaw the firm's equity and fixed income strategies. He spearheaded the development and launch of Man Numeric's emerging markets strategies. Prior to joining Man Numeric in 1998, he was a portfolio analyst at The Oak Group, LP, a Chicago-based hedge fund investment manager.
Ori received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago.
