Edward Hoyle is Head of Total-Return Strategies at Man AHL, and is tasked with applying AHL’s hedge-fund expertise to long-only investing.
Edward joined Man AHL in 2017 as quantitative researcher, initially focussed on the development of risk parity and alternative risk premia strategies, and portfolio construction for Man AHL Institutional Solutions, before becoming Head of Macro in 2020. Prior to joining Man AHL, Edward spent more than seven years in the research team at Fulcrum Asset Management, managing quant macro, systematic commodity and alternative risk premia strategies. Early in his career, he spent two years as an actuarial analyst at Allianz Insurance.
Edward received an MSci in Mathematics (first class honours) from University College London, and a PhD in Mathematics from Imperial College London, where he was a member of the Mathematical Finance group.
