Paul Kedrosky
Fellow, MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy & Partner, SK Ventures 

Dr. Paul Kedrosky is a venture capitalist with an interest in software and AI. He is also a research fellow at MIT's Institute for the Digital Economy, where he is focused on AI and the future of work. Dr. Kedrosky was formerly the director of an early-age commercialization center at UC San Diego, and a Senior Fellow at the Kauffman Foundation. He has been a regular contributor at Bloomberg and CNBC, as well as having written for the NY Times. The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, and being interviewed by the BBC, NPR, and many other news organizations.

Kara Swisher
New York Times Best-Selling Author, Host of On with Kara Swisher & Pivot Podcasts, Editor-At-Large at New York Magazine 

 

Kara Swisher is host of On with Kara Swisher and co-host of the Pivot podcast. She’s editor-at-large at New York Magazine and a CNN contributor. Swisher is the co-founder of the technology website, Recode, and tech conference, Code, which is the country’s premier conference on tech and media.

Considered the top reporter in the tech game, Swisher has been reporting on the industry since the early 1990s. She was there when Amazon was looking for its first headquarters in Seattle, when Google was in its garage and when Netflix was just a small startup. Once called “Silicon Valley's most feared but revered journalist” by New York Magazine, Swisher has established herself as the oracle of the tech world with unrivaled access to the industry's most significant leaders.

Swisher was previously a contributing New York Times opinion writer and former host of the podcasts, Sway and Recode Decode. She co-founded the technology website, Recode, and, before that, co-produced and co-hosted The Wall Street Journal’s “D: All Things Digital” conference series (now called the Code Conference) with Walt Mossberg starting in 2003. It was, and still is, the country’s premier conference on tech and media, with interviewees such as Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Tesla Technoking Elon Musk, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, and many other leading players.

Swisher worked in the Wall Street Journal’s San Francisco bureau and as a reporter at the Washington Post. She’s the author of aol.com: How Steve Case Beat Bill Gates, Nailed the Netheads, and Made Millions in the War for the Web (Times Business Books, 1998) and There Must Be a Pony in Here Somewhere: The AOL Time Warner Debacle and the Quest for a Digital Future (Crown Business, 2003). She’s also the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir, Burn Book: A Tech Love Story (Simon & Schuster, February 2024), which tells the inside story of Silicon Valley.

Swisher was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s list of “Podcast Power Players” in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, and to the 2023 Out 100. She also received the “Pioneer Icon” award at the 2023 iHeart Podcast Awards. Additionally, Pivot was named one of the “Best Podcasts of 2022” by the New York Times and “Best Thought Leadership Podcast” at the 2022 Adweek Audio Awards.

Swisher has been a contributor to NBC, CNBC, and MSNBC. She played herself on HBO’s Silicon Valley and Fox’s The Simpsons, and is a regular guest on national broadcast programs. She also hosted HBO’s Succession podcast, which was named Adweek’s 2023 “Podcast of the Year.” She received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and her graduate degree at Columbia University’s School of Journalism.

Richard Barclay
Head of Product and Multi-Strategy Solutions, Man Group  

Richard Barclay is Head of Product and Multi-Strategy Solutions and responsible for Man Group’s Risk Premia and TargetRisk Equities portfolios.

Prior to his current role, Richard was working on portfolio construction within the investment solutions team. Before that, he was responsible for due diligence on external quantitative hedge funds at Man FRM. Richard joined Man Group as a graduate in 2012.

Richard holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Southampton.

Gregory Bond
Chief Investment Officer, Man Group  

 

Gregory (‘Greg’) Bond is Chief Investment Officer at Man Group, focused on strengthening collaboration between the firm’s investment teams and accelerating innovation in new capabilities. He is also Head of the Americas for Man Group, and lead portfolio manager for Man Group’s flagship multi-strategy fund. In addition, he serves on the Man Group Executive Committee.

Greg was formerly CEO of Man Numeric. Prior to that, he was director of research at Man Numeric, responsible for research initiatives, including the day-to-day management of Man Numeric’s strategic alpha research team. Before becoming director of research, he was a portfolio manager for various hedge fund strategies at Numeric as well as being co-head of its hedge fund group, having joined in 2003.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and in biology from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.

Steven Desmyter
President, Man Group 

Steven Desmyter is President of Man Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He leads Man Group's Discretionary investment business, comprising a diverse range of fundamental, research-driven strategies across equities, credit, and private markets. In addition, Steven leads the firm’s sales and marketing efforts and chairs the Man Group Charitable Trust.

Since joining Man Group in 2002, Steven has held several senior roles. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in the European Equities Division.

Steven represents the investment industry on several global advisory groups including the SASB and the SBAI.

He holds Master’s degrees in Economics and Finance from the University of Ghent and the University of Kiel, and an MBA from SDA Bocconi.

Jason Dillow
Co-Head of US Private Credit & Head of US Opportunistic Credit, Man Group  

Jason Dillow is Co-Head of US Private Credit & Head of US Opportunistic Credit at Man Group.

He joined Man Group in 2025 as part of the firm’s acquisition of Bardin Hill where he was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer, and where he chaired the firm’s Operating and Executive Committees. Jason rose through the leadership ranks of the firm over more than a decade, becoming Chief Investment Officer in 2016 and Chief Executive Officer in 2018.

Prior to joining Bardin Hill, Jason worked in the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs, a global multi-billion dollar investing business specialising in stressed and distressed debt and event-driven equities investing within Goldman Sachs’ Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Division. In that role he was responsible for investments in the financial, energy, power and industrial industries. He began his career in the Financial Institutions Group of Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division.

Jason received an A.B. with honours from Princeton University and currently serves on Milton Academy’s Board of Trustees as Chair of the school’s Endowment Investment Committee, and as Chair of the Diversity Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) Advisory Committee. He is a member of the Altman Foundation Finance Committee, whose mission is to enrich the quality of life in New York City through support for programmes and institutions that advance equality and opportunity for individuals, families and communities.

Tushara Fernando
Head of Data and AI, Man Group  

 

Tushara Fernando leads Man Group's data and machine learning initiatives, overseeing the firm's comprehensive data platform, data management team, and strategic data sourcing operations. In this role, he leads the development and implementation of Man Group's generative AI strategy across the firm.

Before joining Man Group in September 2021, Tushara was Head of Portfolio Construction Technology for Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He was formerly Head of Enterprise Engineering, responsible for Man Group's operating and fund accounting platforms, enterprise applications, and client-facing solutions. Earlier in his tenure, he led Fast Trading Technology, where he developed sophisticated liquidity-making and liquidity-taking systematic strategies spanning all major asset classes.

Tushara holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Manchester.

Robyn Grew
CEO, Man Group 

 

Robyn Grew is CEO of Man Group, a global alternative investment management firm with USD 227.6 billion* assets under management that is listed on the London Stock Exchange. As CEO, she leads the firm’s Executive Committee and is an executive director on the Man Group Board.

Since joining Man Group in 2010 through its acquisition of GLG, Robyn has served as Group COO, Head of ESG, General Counsel, and most recently, President. Robyn led Man Group’s corporate reorganisation in 2019 and has also spearheaded the firm’s diversity programme.

Robyn has worked in the investment industry since 1994. Previously, she held senior global positions at investment banks in London, New York and Tokyo, including Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, as well as what is now the ICE Futures Europe exchange. She is a qualified barrister and member of the Standards Board for Alternative Investment (SBAI) Board of Trustees.

Alex Preston
Head of Advisory, Man Group  

 

Alex Preston is Head of Advisory at Man Group, responsible for Advisory and for the firm’s client research collaboration with Oxford University, OMI Advisory. He was previously Head of Content at Millennium. Prior to that, he was Client Investment Strategist at Man Group, working for the firm from 2013 to 2020.

Alex started his career in 2001 working for a credit hedge fund before moving to The Carlyle Group, where he was Head of Global Trading. He is a prize-winning author and journalist, writing regularly for The Economist, Financial Times and the Guardian.

Alex graduated from the University of Oxford with an MA in English Literature, and holds a PhD from University College, London. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Kristina Hooper
Chief Market Strategist, Man Group  

 

Kristina Hooper is the Chief Market Strategist at Man Group, a global alternative investment manager. In this role, she provides views and insights on the economy and markets. She was featured on the cover of the January 2015 issue of Kiplinger’s magazine, and appears regularly on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Yahoo Finance and Reuters TV. She has also been a mainstage speaker at numerous national and regional conferences. She is regularly quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The New York Times, Reuters and other financial news publications.

Prior to joining Man Group in 2025, Kristina served as the Chief Global Market Strategist at Invesco and previously worked at Allianz Global Investors. She earned a BA degree, cum laude, from Wellesley College; a JD from Pace University School of Law, where she was a Trustees’ Merit Scholar; an MBA in finance from New York University Stern School of Business, where she was a teaching fellow in macroeconomics and organisational behaviour; and a master’s degree from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, where she focused on labour economics.

Simon Thwaite
Head of Securitised Credit, Man AHL  

 

Simon Thwaite is Head of Securitised Credit at Man AHL.

Since joining Man AHL in 2015, Simon has held several research positions and made significant contributions to Man AHL's systematic futures and over-the-counter strategies.

Simon holds a D.Phil. in Atomic and Laser Physics from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science from the University of Auckland.
