Tania Cruickshank
Tania Cruickshank is General Counsel at Man Group. Tania leads the Legal Department which comprises over 40 lawyers, qualified company secretaries and paralegals, working in Man Group’s offices in London, New York, Hong Kong and Pfӓffikon, Switzerland.
Since joining Man Group in 2008 Tania has provided legal and regulatory support and counsel on every aspect Man Group’s business. Tania has worked on a number of key strategic initiatives to diversify Man Group’s business, including the restructure of Man Group in 2019, the acquisition of Aalto Invest Holding AG which forms Man’s Global Private Markets division (2017), as well as the acquisitions of Numeric Investors LLC (2014), FRM Holdings Limited (2012) and GLG Partners Inc. (2010). While strategic projects are a significant feature of the department’s work, the team also delivers and maintains legally compliant products for our clients, efficiently and cost effectively, enables market derivatives trading across asset classes and exchanges, maintains an effective governance structure appropriate for a UK listed global investment management firm, and manages legal litigation risk.
Tania sits on the firm’s Executive, Risk & Finance, and Product Approval Committees, as well as acting as a chair and director of several regulated subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Man Group in 2008, Tania worked as an Associate in the corporate department at Slaughter and May, a leading law firm in London.
