Romy Shum, CFA
Director of Strategy, Man Group
Romy Shum is Director of Strategy at Man Group, based in London, and is responsible for overseeing and advancing delivery of the firm’s strategic priorities.
She was formerly Head of Business Management – UK/EEA for the firm’s private markets division with strategic and operational oversight across real assets and private credit strategies. In this role, Romy focused on the day-to-day management of the private markets business and strategy implementation as well as interaction with Man Group’s central infrastructure and technology functions. Since joining Man Group in 2016, Romy has worked across other functions including Corporate Development and Global Sales Management.
Romy holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Durham University and is a CFA charterholder.
