Yavor Kovachev

Associate Quantitative Researcher, Man Numeric

Yavor Kovachev is an associate quantitative researcher at Man Numeric.

Prior to joining Man Numeric in 2022, Yavor worked as a post-doc at The Becker Friedman Institute for Economics under the supervision of Professor Lars Hansen and developed deep learning algorithms for solving high dimensional stochastic optimization problems in economics. Prior to that, he was a researcher at the Stockholm School of Economics, working on problems at the intersection of machine learning, asset pricing and continuous time finance.

Yavor holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from DePauw University, a master’s degree in financial mathematics from Uppsala University, and a PhD in finance from the Stockholm School of Economics.
