David Barber

David Barber is Global Head of Operations for Man Group, based in London. The role includes management of all elements of middle and back office functions, most notably Fund valuations and NAV approval, p/l control, portfolio operations, client operations, regulatory reporting and service provider management.

David joined Man Group via its acquisition of FRM in July 2012 where he was Head of Operations, Technology and Treasury Management within the Group. David joined FRM in October 2005. Previously David was the Global Head of Operations (ex South Africa) for Investec Asset Management in London for nearly five years, and before that held a number of senior operational positions during a 15-year career with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, (formerly Mercury Asset Management) in London.
