London. Man Group, a global alternative investment management firm, today announced the closing of its first captive CLO equity programme with up to $150m in capacity. The programme, established with the majority support of a strategic institutional provider of CLO capital, will be utilised to support the continued growth of its broadly syndicated loan US CLO platform.

Man Group will also invest in the programme, underscoring the firm's conviction in, and commitment to, its US CLO platform. The programme enables the firm to issue multiple US CLOs, reinvest capital from maturing existing CLOs, and pursue secondary or add-on raises as needed.

The closing follows Man Group's acquisition of Bardin Hill, a New York-based credit manager with an established broadly syndicated loan CLO franchise. Man Group has consolidated its CLO businesses under this franchise, with Philip Raciti leading the combined platform. The integrated team and systems now operate across a centralised infrastructure. Since the acquisition, Man Group has priced and closed three resets and one refinancing of CLOs originally issued under both the Bardin Hill and Man Group brands – demonstrating the firm's execution capability across a combined CLO platform.

Steven Desmyter, President of Man Group, commented:

"Credit is a cornerstone of our investment platform, and this underscores our long-term commitment to building scale and consistency in the CLO space. We're excited by the opportunities this positions us to capture for investors seeking alpha in credit markets."

Philip Raciti, Global Head of Broadly Syndicated Loans at Man Group, said:

"The establishment of this captive equity programme is a significant milestone for our CLO business and reflects the strength of the platform we have built. Having a dedicated source of CLO equity capital, alongside a committed strategic partner, gives us the certainty and flexibility to be an active and consistent issuer. We believe this positions us well to seek attractive risk-adjusted returns for our investors across credit cycles, and we look forward to continued expansion within the CLO asset class."
