Michael Kasper
COO and Head of Strategy, Systematic, Man Group
Michael Kasper is Chief Operating Officer and Head of Strategy for Man Group’s systematic investment capabilities, including Man AHL and Man Numeric. In his role, Michael is responsible for the COO and Client Portfolio Management functions across Systematic, defining and supporting strategic and product priorities, and enhancing collaboration, research and technology to drive performance and growth.
He was formerly Head of Strategy, responsible for Man Group’s strategic priorities. Prior to that, he headed up Global Private Markets within Man Group’s discretionary investment capabilities. He also served as Head of Strategy and Corporate Finance where he was responsible for the company’s strategy, investor relations and sourcing and executing acquisitions. Michael has also held the roles of Head of Corporate Development, Head of Investor Relations, Group Treasurer and COO of Global Sales & Marketing at Man Group.
Before joining Man Group in 2016, Michael was a Managing Director at Freeman & Co., an M&A boutique, where he acted as an advisor to financial services companies. Michael has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a MSc in Operations Research from Columbia University.
