James Blackburn
Head of Platform Engineering, Man Group
James Blackburn is Head of Platform Engineering for Man Group. In this role, he is responsible for the technology that underpins our front office, enterprise engineering and end-user functions. His teams build the firm’s shared Python development environment, data engineering systems and machine learning technology stacks. He is also responsible for Man Group’s internal and external cloud platforms.
James joined Man AHL in 2011. Most recently, he served as CTO of Man Group's Alpha platform. James started his career as an engineer at Broadcom.
James holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Cambridge.
