Join us to see what it is really like to build tech for a global investment firm.
The challenge
Working in teams, participants will be tasked with applying artificial intelligence to curated financial datasets within a dedicated simulation environment.
The objective: engineer a high-performing, simulated investment portfolio in a single day.
Throughout the event, you will work alongside Man Group technologists and receive guidance from a Portfolio Manager while exploring predictive data modelling, risk analytics, and algorithmic logic.

While our previous hackathon focused on delivering open-source technology for the charitable sector, our foundational approach remains identical. We believe in bringing exceptional technical minds together to solve complex, real-world problems. This year, we are pointing that collaborative focus toward the forefront of AI through a bespoke market simulation.
Participant profile
We welcome participants from across the technology spectrum, from experienced data scientists and machine learning engineers to software developers interested in applied AI.
Crucially, prior experience in finance or quantitative research is not required. We value sharp analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and strong technical execution over industry background.
