Background and career
Colin was Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Plc and HSBC Europe from 2021 to 2024 with responsibility for leading the bank’s operations and strategic direction as well as various transformative initiatives including the Group’s Quantum computing strategy and investment. Before this, Colin held various senior executive positions at HSBC, including Chief Compliance Officer and Group Head of Financial Crime Risk. Prior to joining HSBC in 2016, Colin held several senior roles at UBS. Before entering the financial services sector in 2007, Colin served for 16 years in the British Army, where he held a range of command and staff roles.
