Ben Tibbalds

Head of Central Risk, Man Group

Ben Tibbalds is the Head of Central Risk for Man Group focussed on corporate risk – this includes the firm’s risk appetite and governance framework, balance sheet investment risk and capital modelling. He also chairs the firmwide Counterparty Monitoring Committee and is responsible for second-line oversight of market, liquidity and operational risk.

Ben joined Man Group in 2011. Between 2000 and 2011, he worked at JPMorgan in three roles: counterparty risk technology; market risk management covering exotic and hybrid risk; and an executive director running in-business risk analysis for the global equity exotics trading desks. Prior to 2000, Ben worked at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting specialising in finance system implementations and business process improvement.

Ben holds a Masters in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Bayes Business School and a MSc/MEng in Engineering from Cambridge University.
