Man Group Graduate 2016

My first internship in Finance was aged 18, so from an early stage I have been looking for the right company to start my career with after university. Since joining Man Group on the graduate Analyst Programme, I’ve found the firm to be extremely responsive and progressive, and am continually impressed by the agile and open-minded culture, which is rather unique among firms of similar size and global reach.

A graduate at the firm is given a unique chance to develop themselves in an environment that is both supportive and intellectually rigorous. We are given significant autonomy in arranging our graduate programme rotation schedules, and the emphasis on learning on-the-job through a range of project work and tasks means the speed at which you move up the learning curve is exceptional.

Something that has really stood out to me is the extent to which people across the firm take an active interest in your long-term development and play a role in shaping your career. Each graduate is appointed a manager during their rotations and also a mentor from the Executive Committee which is a great way to learn directly from some of the most successful people in the industry. I have regular, monthly catch ups with my mentor and have been able to develop an open dialogue with many senior people across the business.
