Eric Atlas

Head of US Residential Debt, Man GPM

Eric Atlas is Head of US Residential Debt at Man Global Private Markets (‘Man GPM’). He is responsible for overseeing the US residential debt business, including origination, underwriting and execution of real estate loans.
Prior to joining Man GPM in December 2019, Eric was a portfolio manager at 1Sharpe Capital, an investment manager focused on the US bridge loan space between 2018 and 2019. Before that, he worked at Cerberus Capital Management in the residential credit group and related portfolio companies for more than 10 years, most recently as portfolio manager of a single family rental portfolio.
Eric holds a Bachelors’ degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Richard Barclay

Head of Product and Multi-Strategy Solutions, Man Solutions

Richard Barclay is Head of Man Solutions Product and Multi-Strategy Solutions and responsible for Man Group’s Risk Premia and TargetRisk Equities portfolios.
Prior to his current role, Richard was working on portfolio construction within the investment solutions team at Man Solutions. Before that, he was responsible for due diligence on external quantitative hedge funds at Man FRM. Richard joined Man Group as a graduate in 2012.
Richard holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Southampton.

Steven Desmyter

President, Man Group

Steven Desmyter is President at Man Group, a member of the Man Group Executive Committee, and Chair of the Man Group Charitable Trust. As President, Steven oversees Man Solutions, our dedicated investment consultation and solutions service for clients seeking tailored and multi-strategy investments. He also leads Man Group’s approach to responsible investment and research, and manages the global sales and marketing distribution strategy.
Steven was previously Global Head of Sales & Marketing and prior to this, responsible for Man Group’s institutional and retail client relationships in the EMEA region. Before joining Man Group in 2002, Steven was at Goldman Sachs, covering institutional clients in the European Equities Division.
Steven is also key to Man Group’s sustainability and responsible investing efforts. He is a member of the Man Group ESG Leadership team and serves on the SASB (Sustainable Accounting Standards Board) Investor Advisory Group and the SBAI (Standards Board for Alternative Investments) Investor Advisory Group.
Steven is a regular Contributor to Forbes Magazine and his articles and comments on sustainable investing have been quoted in a number of publications, including AIMA, the Financial Times, Fundfire, and Nordsip.
Steven holds Master’s Degrees in Economics and Finance from the University of Ghent and the University of Kiel. He also holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi.

Robyn Grew

CEO, Man Group

Robyn Grew is CEO of the LSE-listed active investment management firm Man Group, and an executive director on the Man Group Board.
As CEO, Robyn leads the firm’s Executive Committee, which is focused on ensuring the firm continues to evolve to meet the needs of its clients and the millions of pensioners and savers they represent.
Robyn was previously President of Man Group, based in the US, and has a strong track record of demonstrating strategic vision and leadership. Since joining Man Group, via GLG, in 2010, Robyn has managed the solutions business, overseen trading and execution as well as acted as Group COO, Head of ESG and General Counsel. She has been integral to the firm’s global strategic expansion and oversaw the reorganisation of Man Group’s corporate structure in 2019 to better align it with the global footprint of the business. She has also spearheaded the firm’s diversity programme, Drive.
Before joining the firm in 2009, Robyn held senior positions at investment banks Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers as well as at LIFFE, the largest futures and options exchange in London – since renamed ICE Futures Europe. These roles saw her based for periods of time in New York, London and Tokyo giving her broad, global experience.
Robyn is a qualified barrister and has worked in the investment industry since 1994.

Elizabeth Herman

Executive Director Federal Government Relations Washington, DC

J.P. Morgan Experience:
Executive director with JPMorgan Chase U.S. Federal Government Relations. She is based in Washington, DC and specializes in tax and retirement policy, as well as other issues.

External Experience
Elizabeth joined the company in 2019 after almost a decade working on economic policy on Capitol Hill. During her time in the U.S. Senate, Elizabeth served as a lead staffer for work on the Senate Finance Committee, the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and the Special Committee on Aging. She is a tax lawyer by trade, previously working for a senior member of the House Ways & Means Committee, and as an attorney in the derivatives and tax division of a large New York law firm. Kevin Marchetti

Co-Head of Direct Lending and Chief Credit Officer, Man Varagon

Kevin Marchetti is a Co-Head of Direct Lending and Chief Credit Officer of Man Varagon.
Kevin has extensive experience in risk management and middle market leveraged finance across a range of industries and strategies. Prior to joining Varagon in 2014, he was a Senior Vice President at GE Antares Capital. He has also held senior risk positions at CIT Group and TD Bank.
He holds a BA from Springfield College and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte

Matthew Moniot

Co-Head of Credit Risk Sharing, Man GPM

Matthew Moniot is Co-Head of Credit Risk Sharing (‘CRS’) at Man GPM, responsible for strategy and portfolio management.
Prior to joining Man GPM in 2022, Matthew founded Elanus Capital Management in 2010 and acted as its Chief Investment Officer, managing bank, speciality finance and insurance risk sharing transactions. He has also previously managed global financials portfolios at Millennium Management and Lehman Brothers. Prior to this, Matthew performed economist, analyst, trader, and portfolio manager roles in the investment banking and hedge fund sectors.
Matthew holds a B.A. in International Relations from John Hopkins University and an M.A. from the Institute of Latin American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin where he studied development economics.

Charles Myers

Chairman and Founder, Signum Global Advisors

Charles Myers, Chairman and Founder of Signum Global Advisors, has over 22 years of US political and electoral experience advising candidates in Presidential, Senate, House of Representatives and Gubernatorial and Mayoral races, including Hillary Clinton for President 2016 and Joe Biden for President 2020. He also has 30 years of experience in global financial markets.

As Chairman, Charles works with financial institutions and multi-national businesses to anticipate and assess policy agendas and announcements. Areas of expertise include US foreign policy and the implications of the Biden presidency in the US, Europe and Asia. Charles also forecasts global trade policy and energy dynamics.

Formerly Vice Chairman of Evercore ISI, he was the Founding Partner & Head of the Institutional Equities business. Prior to that, Charles served as Global Head of Equities and Board Member of Fox-Pitt, Kelton. Charles has a BA from Amherst College in Massachusetts and a post-graduate M. Phil degree from Cambridge University in England.

Leif Nelson

Professor in Business Administration, Marketing & Psychology, Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley

Leif Nelson is a Professor of Marketing at the University of California, Berkeley. Trained as an experimental psychologist, Leif investigates the ways in which human behaviors diverge from the predictions of both economic rationality and reasoned intuition. He also studies the behaviors of scientists themselves, identifying the ways in which they unknowingly (and occasionally knowingly) distort the analysis and reporting of data to make claims that are more bold than they are truthful. Leif works to develop tools for identifying and correcting those errors and occasional deceptions.

Alec Phillips

Global Investment Research

Alec is chief US political economist in the US Economics Group within Global Investment Research, focused primarily on US economic policy, including fiscal, trade and regulatory issues. Previously, he held roles analyzing industry focused policies at the federal and state level, both as a member of the Global Economics Group from 2003 to 2007, and before that as an analyst in Equity Research. Alec joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 as an analyst in Equity Research and was named managing director in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Alec served on the staff of the Senate Finance Committee. Alec earned a BA in Political Science from Colgate University in 1998

 

Sriram Reddy

Managing Director – Credit, Man GLG

Sriram Reddy is a Managing Director for credit at Man GLG. He is responsible for coordinating business development, product development, marketing and client service efforts across both long only and alternative credit strategies. Sriram joined Man Group in 2022. He was previously a Credit Investment Director at Schroders. Prior to that, Sriram worked at BlackRock for more than 12 years in multiple roles, most recently as an Investment Strategist within the BlackRock Investment Institute. Sriram holds a BA in Economics from Johns Hopkins University.

David Ryan

Head of Fast Trading Strategies in Single Name Assets, Man AHL

David Ryan is the Head of Fast Trading Strategies in Single Name Assets at Man AHL. In this role he leads a research team in the AHL Fast Trading group focussing on faster trading strategies in cash equities and corporate bonds. David joined Man Group in 2016 and previously worked in the AHL Core Research team, focussing on medium frequency trading strategies across both futures and cash equities. He holds two master’s degrees in mathematics from University of Cambridge and in physics from the University of Oxford.

Tarek Abou Zeid

Partner and Senior Client Portfolio Manager, Man AHL

Tarek Abou Zeid is a Partner and Senior Client Portfolio Manager at Man AHL with responsibility for investor engagement, new product development, and client communication.
Prior to joining Man AHL, Tarek was at Amundi/Pioneer, where he advised clients on cross-asset portfolio construction and institutional solutions. Before that, Tarek worked for Quant Capital researching and implementing systematic strategies.
He holds a degree in electrical engineering, majoring in signal processing and optical communication, from RWTH Aachen University and has worked at Stanford University researching optical modulation techniques.

Diana Zheng

Senior Quantitative Researcher, Man Numeric

Diana Zheng is a senior quantitative researcher and a co-portfolio manager at Man Numeric. Her research focus is on alternative data, event strategies, government related signals, private market dynamics, REITs and portfolio construction.
Prior to joining Man Numeric in 2019, Diana interned at Citi as a quant researcher.
Diana received a bachelor’s degree from University of California Los Angeles, with a triple major in mathematics, statistics and business economics, with a minor in accounting. She has also received a doctorate degree in finance from Columbia Business School. She is a CFA® and FRM charterholder.
