In total FRM picked up five awards, including the award for “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry” for CEO Luke Ellis.
The FRM Equity Alpha Fund scooped up three awards, including “Best Specialist FoHF” over one and three years, as well as “FoHF of the Year.” FRM Equity Alpha offers investors the opportunity to capture the returns generated by top performing quantitative market neutral funds. Year to date FRM Equity Alpha has gained 3.7 percent, after rising 9.5 percent and 12 percent respectively in 2011 and 2010.
Finally, FRM’s Secondary Workouts and Transitions (SWT) team won the “Best Advisory Team” award. The SWT team was recognised for its special expertise in advising clients on secondary market transactions, restructurings and workout of illiquid hedge fund investments. During the past three years, FRM has successfully liquidated more than USD 1 billion in illiquid assets, balancing preservation of value and returning capital to investors. The SWT Team is part of FRM’s wider solutions capabilities, allowing FRM to help investors with all aspects and stages of their hedge fund programs, from participation in early stage hedge fund seeding to diversified and thematic funds of funds and customized solutions, at the same time offering a high level of transparency and liquidity.

The Hedge Funds Review European Fund of Hedge Funds Awards recognise funds, teams and individuals for outstanding performance throughout the year. The judges use a mixture of qualitative and quantitative criteria to determine the winners.
